A special session was held during the first day of the virtual conference PowerTech 2020, to present some highlights of the two projects FlexPlan and INTERPLAN.
The session, titled “Innovative solutions for transmission and distribution planning: results of the FlexPlan and INTERPLAN Projects” lasted 75 minutes and was coordinated and chaired by the FlexPlan project coordinating person Gianluigi Migliavacca.
Three presentations were carried out for the FlexPlan project and then three were carried out for INTERPLAN. Presenters for FlexPlan were Gianluigi Migliavacca, Hakan Ergun and Raul Rodriguez.
Subsequently, a panel was held around the question “The two projects FlexPlan and INTERPLAN are aimed at creating a set of tools for the system operators. What are the advantages that should push a system operator to adopt these tools by replacing those that are currently in use? Is it possible to quantitatively appraise such advantages?”
A short Q&A time concluded the session.
