After the dark period of COVID-19, where all conferences were held on-line, ENLIT has perhaps been the first in Europe to open again for a physical meeting.
ENLIT, formerly European Utility Week and PowerGen Europe, is one of the most important events in Europe in the field of energy. The event has a unique format in which exhibition and conference are tightly merged, to the extent that the thematic “theatres”, where the hub sessions are held, are placed in the middle of the exposition area.
The 2021 edition was organized at the important hub of “Fiera di Milano” in the days 30th November- 2nd December. FlexPlan was present at the event in two ways:
- The FlexPlan coordinator Gianluigi Migliavacca chaired a hub session on 30th November with the title “Monitoring and Optimisation of the Networks: Plan and Adapt”. FlexPlan was introduced in the opening lecture by Mr. Migliavacca and then an in-dept explanation of the 6 regional cases followed, presented by Nuno Souza e Silva (R&D NESTER). The session was completed by an interesting panel on the theme “Overcoming challenges to build trust in the grid”, chaired by Mr. Migliavacca.
- On 1st December, Mr. Migliavacca was interviewed by Clarion Events about the challenges of the FlexPlan project and the relevance of its results for the future grid planning. In the next days, this interview will be published on the YouTube channel of the ENLIT conference.
